Kyle Malone

Originally from Holland, MI, Kyle Malone is a 35-year-old business owner in the Lansing area. This is his 10^th full season in the sport of triathlon.  Starting at the age of 8, Kyle played competitive travel hockey, which took him all around the Midwest and parts of Canada, nearly every weekend from fall to spring.  When he got to high school, he also started playing on the golf team.  Kyle jumped into the world of endurance sports after gaining a bit of weight and decideing that something had to change.  He settled on triathlon after seeing the Ironman World Championship on tv and then watching his brother-in-law Ben complete Ironman Louisville.  Since then Kyle has completed seven 70.3 races, qualified for 70.3 World Champtionships, and completed three Ironmans.  When he isn’t working or training, he enjoys mountain biking, skiing, snowboarding, watersports, hockey, golf, and pretty much anything that is outside and active.

2024 GOALS

My goals for this year are to stay healthy and go under 5 hours at the 70.3 Distance.
