Cameron Kortes

Team Member Since 2017

Cameron is a 29-year-old third-year medical student completing his clinical rotations at Covenant Hospital in Saginaw. Originally a Greenville Michigan native, Cameron has spent the last 3 years living in Haslett. In 2013, he made the somewhat nontraditional golf-to-triathlon transition after spontaneously entering his first race.  He survived the experience, & was hooked on the fast-paced, competitive nature of the sport that was unlike anything he had done before. The next couple years were spent learning how to actually swim, bike, and run properly. This propelled him into the 2016 season where he won his first age group at the Bostwick Lake Triathlon and first overall at the Hawk Island Fall Sprint Triathlon. Last year Cameron married his fiancée Rebecca and completed his first Ironman in Chattanooga. When Cameron’s not training or racing, he spends his time studying, studying, and studying, with an occasional round of golf.

2018 GOALS

My goals for this year are to complete another Ironman, bike 1500 miles, run 500 miles and win my age group in a 70.3 race because I have to go up next year....
